    Sector Notes

    Noted Issue Description
Rolled Sector: Sector 102 is the fourth of 9 overlapping “rolled” sectors that provide extended temporal coverage of the southern ecliptic’s mid-latitudes. This observing plan is designed to detect longer period planets than typical TESS pointings at latitudes that are more amenable to follow up observations.
Data gap: Two consecutive downlinks were missed due to DSN issues. Data could not be downlinked until the following contact, resulting in the on-board data memory filling to capacity, after which data collection was stopped. A total of 9.8 hours of data were not collected due to these overflows. During the following sector (103) additional data were recovered from the end of orbits 215 and 216 that were missed in the first successful downlink. These amounted to 3.5 hours at the end of orbit 215 and 1.9 hours at the end of orbit 216. Due to high levels of scattered light present during these observations (see Figures 2 and 3) the SPOC 2-minute and 20-second pipelines were not rerun to process these cadences. However, calibrated FFIs during orbits 215b and 216b were reprocessed with the recovered cadences and re-delivered to the MAST on 2026-06-09 and 2026-06-11, respectively.
Spacecraft pointing: The pointing in Sector 102 was set at -46.0 degrees in ecliptic latitude. The instrument field- of-view was rotated by approximately 40 degrees covering a region of southern ecliptic mid-latitudes. Camera 1 was used for guiding in half-orbit segments 215a and 216a. Camera 4 was used for guiding in half-orbit segments 215b and 216b.
Scattered light: In Sector 102, the Earth introduces scattered light signals in all cameras but particularly Cameras 3 and 4 near the beginning of orbits 215a and 216a and end of orbit 215b and 216b.
